Save your money... Jul 11, 2008 I picked this game up used because it looked and sounded interesting... I'm really glad I got it used because I would be kicking myself if I had paid full price. This game is extremely boring, you just swim around and collect whatever fossils you can find. The graphics are not up to today's standards, and the controls are not nearly as intuitive as every other Wii game I've played. Very disappointing all around. It will be going back to the store tomorrow.

I eat the ocean! May 06, 2008 I'm deeply conflicted by this game. On one hand, I finally get to play as an aquatic dinosaur, slurping down delicious mammals. In contrast, this game teaches evolution, which is a lie.
How am I supposed to recommend this game when it encourages children to use undeveloped, hideously malformed flippers to crawl from the muck and onto the shore? Especially when the aforementioned shore is populated with larger, angrier, toothier monsters, all looking to bite your face off of its head. That is, they want to eat you.
The graphics nearly made me forget this game's deceptions. Painted in broad strokes of green, blue, and green, the stark contrast of green fossils against blue ocean allows you to collect the deceiving stones much more easily. How else could you be collecting so-called artifacts of the dinosaurs when you're playing as the dinosaurs?! Clearly, these "artifacts" are remnants of the world's creation only a few hundred years prior.
There is no music, so I came to be lulled into slumber by the sound of a host of other larger monsters rending into my flesh. The screams of watervelociraptors are accurately recreated by the imaginings of the heretics. An A3 in sound design!
A definite must-buy for your next All Hallow's Eve celebration!

It's a budget game... you get a budget game... you shouldn't be surprised Mar 23, 2008 Well I thought "hey, my pal likes dinosaurs, and this game is about dinosaurs, and it's in the ocean, kinda like Endless Ocean or something, so why not get him this for Christmas (this was a while ago)?" So I got it for him and he immediately responded with "yea... that game was crap."
I wasn't really surprised because I knew what I had bought him was a cheap game... but he told me it was REALLY bad:
Graphics: 1 star - not even up to par with Gamecube
Sound: No idea
Story: 1 star - You are different dinosaurs, but not very many of them are playable... and you go around killing other dinosaurs in the ocean... not much story...
Replay Value: None
Overall: Well, I have to give it a 1 star.
I only gave it a two star for fun because my friend likes dinosaurs so that saved the present for him. So, in conclusion, this game is a piece of junk and levels as the grindhouse game of the Wii. Not in a good way though.
PS. He got me Endless Ocean

Sea Monsters Feb 08, 2008 I bought this game for my daughter. It took her about one week to finish-the game itself is very entertaining and a very good learning experience. Playing it with the Wii remote was very easy to master and the simulation and grafics overall are very good. The only downside to the game is that it's too short and easy to finish. Hopefully if they make a part 2 they will make it longer and a little harder to finish.

A good exploration game, but without gorgeous graphics Jan 18, 2008 The exploration is good, but lacks gorgeous graphics. I think DSI games needs to improve the graphics engine and put more effort. The Wii hardware is not the problem.
You can see the picks of Endless Ocean and you say: whoaa that is gorgeous graphics!!
