Customizable tilt sensing for your PS2 and even your PS3 games Feb 18, 2008 This device can be connected to a Dual Shock 2 controller to allow for tilt sensing (which makes your controller have a similar function to the PS3 Sixaxis controller). Once it is all hooked up you will be tiltsensing to your heart's content-- and it works nicely because you can adjust the tilt sensitivity (which corresponds to light indicators on the device).
A wire runs from the device on your controller to the controller plug (which connects to an adapter). I've had success using this on a wireless PS2 controller, but it essentially turns your PS2 wireless controller into a wired PS2 controller.
A small drawback for this device is that the clip that connects it to the controller is designed to only work with the Sony controller. For third party controllers, you may have to actually tape or rubber-band the device to your controller in order for it to be put to work.
Here's a tip for those of you who have a PS3 and find the non-customizable Sixaxis function in certain games (racing games like Motorstorm) less than ideal. Connect a PS2->PS3 controller adapter to your PS3, and then connect this and a Dual Shock controller to the adapter. In no time you'll be having a ball racing around in Motorstorm without any worries of too-touchy controls. You can dial it in to just the right amount of tilt control.
All in all this is a nifty device which works well. For anyone interested in tiltsensing on their PS2 and PS3 games, I recommend it.
