5Gran Turismo? Are they still making those?  Nov 22, 2008
GT killer all the way. Deeper customizations, spectacular graphics, realistic driving mechanics, and challenging AI make this game much fun. This is one of those games that make you work for what you get, and I love it. I love racing and I love really well made racing games, so I love Forza Motorsports 2. Still wondering why they call it Forza though. Buy it>!

4The BEST Racing sim  Nov 21, 2008
Is it the most realistic? No. Does it have the best graphics? No. Does it have the greatest number of cars? No.

It does have the best sound, probably the best amount of modding ability for cars of any game (save for Need For Speed). The AI is also fairly good, and I've had them run me off the road enough times to lead me to believe it wasn't an accident (usually it's after I've been racing pretty mean and dirty).

Compared to Gran Turismo this game is a big improvement. I have played all of the Gran Turismo's except for Prologue and V, I would have rated the original Forza as being a superior game (barely, it had a few drawbacks that were fully addressed in Forza 2). Forza does not have rally races, drag races, and other stuff that its predecessor and competition have, but it does do track races amazingly well. The X-box controller and the steering wheel offer an experience I think PS2 and Gran Turismo can't match, the rumble of the control is far superior to the PS controllers and Forza really takes advantage of it.

The graphics really aren't amazing, Grid, GT Prologue, and other games have it beat. The car sounds in Forza are spot on, and they don't use music during the races to cover up terrible sound effects (probably because they are so good they want you to hear them). The modifications possible on cars are fantastic, probably a hundred different types of rims in varying sizes and widths are available for each car. Real world body kits (like Evolve for the S60 R or Konigsreder for the Audi S4) are available, not horrid looking cheap knockoffs. Engine and suspension tuning is pretty basic, just your "stage 1,2,3 Intake upgrades," which is kind of a let down but more detailed work isn't needed. The Dyno sheet for your car is displayed, and you can benchmark it to find your cars maximum lateral G's, braking distance (very helpful), and other things.

Forza does come up short compared to Gran Turismo as far as number of cars, Forza uses mostly real world tracks and I feel some important ones were left out or only made as downloads, and more cars would be nice. Forza sticks to what it is good at, and it does those things really well. I simply cannot play GT4 anymore, it just annoys me at the inferiority of it, and more realistic computer racing sims just aren't enough fun, or require 300 dollar racing wheels to enjoy (I bought a 150 without good force feedback, and it was extremely dull).
So if you are looking for a good racing sim that's also fun (and has good online play), pick up Forza Motorsport 2.

5Great First Person Racing Game!  Nov 12, 2008
The cars are super realistic with ultra customization. There are many unique tracks and the competition is great. Super realistic. I love this game!

5Best racing car game yet  Oct 14, 2008
This game is the coolest. All my kids can play and have fun from my 4 yr old up to my 14 yr(mom and dad too).

Good game
Good quality upon delivery

Otherwise it was in good condition
